Work you’ll do
As a Team Member in our Operational Risk Advisory team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations
Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to provide actionable insights for management.
Assist in the development of financial models to support strategic planning and business initiatives.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide variance analysis against budgeted and forecasted figures.
Collaborate with business units to gather data, validate assumptions, and refine forecasts.
Contribute to the preparation of presentations for executive leadership, highlighting financial trends and recommendations.
Apply key financial ratios to assess performance and highlight to the management for key decision making
Assist in preparation of Business opportunity appraisals, to assess the feasibility of any planned investment by doing a time series analysis, present value analysis, discounting cash flows, and applying costing methodologies
Identify areas for process improvements within the FP&A function and assist in implementing best practices.
Assist in the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
Perform ad hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling to support decision-making on special projects.
Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance financial systems, data integrity, and reporting capabilities.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, economic factors, and market conditions that may impact the business.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA or relevant certification (CA, CFA, CPA) is a plus.
2-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a GIC setting
Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis using tools such as Excel, and familiarity with financial software. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office software packages; Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of data and visualization tools – Power BI, Tableau
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
Excellent communication skills to present findings and recommendations to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Knowledge of industry best practices and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Knowledge of ESSBASE, HFM, OBIEE, SAP is an added advantage
Working knowledge of Power BI and Tableu is an added advantage
