MNK GCS – Team Lead – Credit Control

Job Title : Team Lead – Credit. Control with Treaty and Facultative Experience (5 to 7 years’ experience)

Credit Control Operations :

– Lead and manage the Credit Control team responsible for collection and receivable management activities.

– Monitor and drive timely collection of premiums and recovery of outstanding balances from brokers, cedents, insurers, and reinsurers.

– Review aged debt reports and establish collection strategies to reduce overdue balances.

– Ensure compliance with collection KPIs, SLAs, and cash collection targets.

– Investigate and resolve payment delays, disputes, and unapplied cash items.

Treaty & Reinsurance Accounting :

– Manage credit control activities across proportional and non-proportional treaty arrangements.

– Review treaty accounts, premium statements, and settlement calculations.

– Validate premium, commission, brokerage, tax, and claim recoverable calculations.

– Reconcile treaty statements against accounting and underwriting records.

– Identify inconsistencies in treaty settlements and coordinate resolution with relevant stakeholders.

Facultative Reinsurance Operations :

– Review facultative reinsurance submissions and supporting underwriting documentation.

– Prepare and process facultative placement slips, cover notes, endorsements, and policy records.

– Coordinate with brokers, underwriters, and reinsurers for quote solicitation and placement completion.

– Track facultative placements from submission through binding and issuance.

– Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance within reinsurance management systems.

Required Qualifications :

– Minimum 5+ years of experience in Credit Control, Reinsurance Accounting, Insurance Operations, or Accounts Receivable.

– Strong experience in P&C Insurance and Reinsurance.

– Proven experience handling Treaty Reinsurance portfolios.

Preferred / Added Advantage :

– Reviewing and interpreting Reinsurance Slips, Endorsements.

– Premium calculation methodologies and Treaty premium adjustments

– Bordereaux processing and validation

– Exposure to London Market or Global Reinsurance operations
