Manager/Senior Associate – Controllership – CA

Role Overview:

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong controllership experience to manage financial close activities, accounting processes, reporting, reconciliations, and financial governance.

Key Responsibilities:

– Manage and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities in a timely and accurate manner.

– Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepaids, reclassifications, and provisions.

– Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.

– Review P&L and balance sheet movements, identify unusual variances, and provide management commentary.

– Support preparation of financial statements, management reports, and closing decks.

– Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records in accordance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.

– Maintain strong governance over accounting processes and ensure compliance with internal controls, SOPs, and audit requirements.

– Ensure adherence to applicable US GAAP, IFRS, Ind AS, and local statutory requirements, depending on business requirements.

– Review and monitor open items, suspense accounts, and aged balances to ensure timely closure.

– Coordinate with regional and global teams on close timelines, issue resolution, and reporting deliverables.

– Collaborate with business and operational teams to understand transactions and their accounting implications.

– Identify opportunities to streamline close processes and improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time.

Mandatory Requirements:

– Qualified CA.

– Strong controllership experience.

– Experience with financial close, reconciliations, accounting and financial reporting.

Preferred Experience:

– Prior experience in a controllership / financial reporting environment.

– Exposure to US GAAP, IFRS and/or Ind AS.

Experience:

5 -8 years.

Qualification:

Chartered Accountant (CA).
