Job description
As an Associate, youll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

Activities to be performed:

Work on and deliverDealsCorporateFinance relatedrequestsbyusing appropriate researchsources andsearching the identified sources to locate the information required
Support preparation of marketing materials, management presentations, pitchbook, teaser, confidential information memorandum
Analyse financials for quantitative research around financial statements,valuation multiples,weightedaverage cost of capitaletc
Prepare companyprofiles,industry andeconomicoverviews
Screen fortarget / buyercompanies.Identify comparablecompanies and transactions
Organizeresearch findings intomeaningful deliverablestothe requestor
Obtaintrainingon the relevantdatabases, acquire knowledge required to use the databases efficiently
Provide inputon bestpractices and process optimization opportunities
Churn out variedwork requestsin shortturnaroundtime.
Requirements

Ability to analyze andanticipate client requests,interpret asksand act according to expectations
Good reasoningandanalyticalability
Capable of designing new research approaches which enhance quality and productivity
Good understanding ofdatabases (CapitalIQ,ThomsonOne etc)will be an added advantage
Good working knowledgein MSOffice tools
Effectiveverbal andwrittencommunications skills
Self-motivatedandcapable ofworkingbothindependentlyandin a team
Proven projectandtimemanagement skills
Self-starterwithability to multi-taskandconstantly reprioritize
Manages a number of responsibilities in the face of competing priorities.
Setspriorities for tasksbasedon relative importance and urgency.
Takes responsibilityfor and ensures thatassignedtasksare fulfilled in a timely way to a high standard
Managesandcontributes to thedevelopment ofjunior staff
Contributes to the effective workingofthe team
Education/qualifications:

CA / CA-Inter / CFA / MBA / BachelororMasters degree in any discipline with 2+ years of experience in Research.
