Job description
This position is responsible to perform specialized local accounting activities for the India legal entities. This position will engage with multiple stakeholders across Accounting /External auditors and Global Accounting and Operations Centre (GAOC). This role will be responsible for activities such as:
Preparation of India Financial statements to comply with local reporting standards (Ind AS), coordinating with statutory auditors, support local corporate tax compliance, accounting and reporting. -This role will be responsible for preparation of internal financial controls as well as regulatory statutory financial reports. Ensure that local legal entity statutory accounts are prepared in accordance with local GAAP and that they are filed on time to the appropriate authorities
Validate the month-end accounts as prepared by the GAOC in accordance with US GAAP. – This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the reported results. Provide support for India accounting and the GAOC accounting teams across multiple process areas
Finance / Accounting Coordination – Establish relationships with key local stakeholders and Accounts payable /Procurement/GAOC
Process Improvement – Work with Global Process Owners in headquarters and with GAOC teams to identify, plan and implement accounting process improvements. Manage ad-hoc special projects.
Qualified Chartered Accountant,
2 year working experience in accounting/auditing.
Experience in Big 4 / Multinational companies preferred.
Oracle EBS, HFM, and TM1 experience (preferred)
Strong communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with leadership locally and at Headquarters.
Knowledge on US GAAP and / or IFRS preferred.
Excellent processing and transactional skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
Ability to collaborate extensively with external accounting service providers and auditors
Proficient knowledge in basic application programs (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
