Indago Research – Research Analyst

We are a boutique financial research and investment intelligence firm that works with our clients on exclusive and customized mandates. The firm was founded by a seasoned investment professional with several years of experience conducting detailed financial and investment due-diligence along with investigative research for global alternative investment and M&A advisory firms.

In order to support our growth, we are looking to add a professional who will work closely on a broad range of areas including data gathering, equity research, corporate finance as well as assist with marketing/sales tasks. They will be an integral part of the team and as such will grow along with the firm. The role will provide a fast-paced, constantly evolving and exciting opportunity to break into a highly competitive industry.

Job Description would include:

A) Using all publicly available sources to produce information that could be useful for clients

B) Building three statement financial models

C) Analyzing businesses, industries and economies to build investment thesis on companies

D) Build Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs) and Pitch Books

E) Conduct valuation based on comparable transaction/public company analysis

F) Prepare research notes on companies

Skills and characteristics required include:

A) 6 months – 3 years prior background in equity research (sell side/buy side), Investment Banking, Big-4 accounting, Strategy/Management Consulting

B) MBA/CA/CPA/Masters/CFAs only.

C) A highly entrepreneurial person who enjoys independence, unstructured environments and quick learning.

D) Ability to express thoughts clearly in written (PPT/Word/Excel/Email) and oral form.

E) Strong quantitative skills

F) History of strong work ethic, self-motivation, initiative, resourcefulness, and success

G) Ability and desire to multi-task as well as work independently, helping shape the projects being completed.
